What is the Benjamin Moore Consumer Advisory Board
The Benjamin Moore Consumer Advisory Board is an online group of consumers age 18 and over who are willing to share their opinions about Benjamin Moore’s products, tools and services. After joining, panelists complete online surveys and provide feedback to influence the development of new products and services.

Who can participate?
U.S. residents age of 18 or over who have completed the Benjamin Moore Consumer Advisory Board registration questionnaire may participate. People who work for Benjamin Moore & Co, any company that manufactures, sells or distributes paint, any company that applies paint, any company that manufactures, sells or distributes or applies wallpaper or ceramic tile, any interior design or decorating company or firm, any interior or exterior home remodeling, repair or painting, any advertising agencies, or market research companies or departments may not participate.

How do I join?
To be eligible to participate in the Benjamin Moore Consumer Advisory Board, you will need to complete a questionnaire that details your past painting habits. Once this questionnaire has been completed, you become eligible to participate. You will find this registration questionnaire if you go to the 'Join Now' page of this website.

When I join and give you my personal information, what do you do with it?
Your personal information is used to create a respondent profile and to track how many surveys are being sent to you. Your respondent profile is used to determine which research studies may apply to you. Whenever a research study is completed, the respondents' survey responses are collectively compiled into a research report which is used to evaluate products and services. No panelist specific information is included in the research report (i.e. survey responses will not be identified with the specific individual panelists).

How is my privacy protected?
The Benjamin Moore Consumer Advisory Board is a strong supporter of privacy. We follow CASRO (Council of Survey Research Organizations) guidelines to protect participants’ confidentiality. Please click on the 'Privacy' link at this site to review our complete policy on participant privacy.

Will it cost me anything to join or participate?
No. Participation is free!

What if I live outside the U.S.?
Currently, the Panel is only available to U.S. residents.

How do I opt-out of the panel?
To discontinue your membership on the panel:
- Go to the 'My Account' page of this website
- Enter your email address and password
- Select 'Cancel Membership'

How can I update my panel registration information?
Go to the 'My Account' page of this website and enter your email address and password. Type in any information that has changed, then click on 'Submit'.

What if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, go to the 'My Account' link on this website; click on the link next to 'Forgot your password?'; and enter your email address to reset your password.

How will I know when to take a survey?
We will send you an email when we have a study ready for you to take. All you need to do is click on the link included in the email invitation (or copy and paste the website address into your browser window). Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the survey. You are never obligated to participate in our surveys.

How often will I be asked to participate in a survey?
Panel members will be invited to participate in a survey approximately once a month by email.

How long will surveys take to complete? What if I start a survey and I run out of time before I can finish it?
Surveys will vary in length depending on the subject, and the estimated time to complete each survey will be noted in the survey email invitation. Most surveys will range from 10 to 20 minutes but others will be as short as 5 minutes. If you can't finish a survey, you can always come back to it at another time. When you return, it will take you to the place where you left off. In general, you will have 3 or 4 days to complete each survey.

If I receive a study invitation, does that mean I'm qualified to participate?
We do our best to identify studies that are relevant to you, based on the information you have provided to us in your profile as well as in previous studies. The email invitation will typically indicate the general subject matter and provide instructions that pertain to that study.

Are members rewarded for their participation?
If you agree to join the Consumer Advisory Board, you will receive a sweepstakes entry for each survey you complete. Sweepstakes are held on a quarterly basis, and prizes consist of (5) five $100 gift certificates. Please click on the 'Rewards' link on this site to review the current sweepstakes rules. In addition, our invitation for each project will contain information and a link to the current sweepstakes.
